A finisher ability is a powerful offensive attack or spell that only becomes available to use after a certain condition is fulfilled, most often after a successful critical hit is scored against your offensive target.
Finishers may fall into a number of different categories depending upon their function and what is required to unlock them, though the majority are either damaging spells or damaging melee strikes. The critical hit that is required to unlock a finishing move must often be of the same type as the finisher, so for example a spell finisher ability requires a spell critical hit in order to be used.
Some finishers are dependent on very specific other abilities being used, for example the Paladin ability Stroke of Fervor is only available following a successful Stroke of Conviction attack, which itself is a critical hit based finisher.

- Mindfire (Psionicist)
- Umbra Burst (Shaman)
